Dr. Larry
Younger
Dr. Younger, a native of Halifax County, returned to
join the Halifax County Veterinary Center, P.C. staff in 1980.
He earned a B.S. in Animal Science from Virginia Tech and his
DVM from the University of Georgia.
His wife, Cathy, also a native of Halifax County, works at
HCVC as the business manager. They
have three sons Nathan, Seth, and Justin. Dr. Younger spends his time away from practice on his beef
cattle farm and gardening. |

Dr. Jon
Collins
Dr. Collins came to HCVC in the summer of 2005.
He is a 2004 graduate of the Virginia-Maryland Regional
College of Veterinary Medicine.
He stayed on and worked in the Production Management Medicine
department at the veterinary school where he helped provide
veterinary service to local farmers as well as teach senior
veterinary students. Dr.
Collins also attended Virginia Tech for his undergraduate education
where he met his wife Angela, who is a native of Halifax County.
They returned to the area to be near family and help with the
family farm. Dr.
Collins’ interests include small animal orthopedic surgery as well
as bovine ultrasound and artificial insemination.
In his spare time Dr. Collins enjoys raising purebred angus
cattle and spending time with Angela and their daughter Avary. |
